As Ascension Studios, John manages all aspects of 3D content creation and animation production , from initial story-boarding & concept layout, to hard-surface & environment modeling, lighting & materials, and final rendering, compositing, and effects. He focuses on integrating the latest technologies like VR/AR, photogrammetry, and 3D printing to develop real-time interactive environments & physical models. Additionally, he provides 2D design services such as graphic design, video production, & photography.
John is a freelance graphic designer, 3D animator, art director, game designer, and developer. He has worked for publishers including Foxtrot Games, Pencil First Games, and Final Frontier Games. He has worked on titles including Grackles, Rocket Squad, Crack the Code, Spy Club, Lanterns Dice, Fox in the Forest Duet, The Search for Planet X, Lift Off! 2nd Edition, Skulk Hollow,
Coloma, Merchant's Cove, and The Girl Who Made The Stars.
At DMJMH+N, John was solely responsible for the creation of 3D models, texturing, lighting, animation, & rendering. He also created 2D designs including marketing materials, Flash presentations, web design, & video. He assisted in the development of CAD drafting standards, and managed the scanning & reproduction department.
